About Us: The Team

ProMotion Cycling is a cycling team based out of Lexington, KY dedicated to the growth of the sport of cycling in the region. The club was founded in 2000, by a group of avid road, mountain, and cyclocross racers. The club works to promote the sport through programs such as bicycle safety programs at local schools, conducting races in the Lexington area, and conducting weekly racing workouts for local riders.

In addition, ProMotion Cycling is very involved in the local and national racing scene. On the roade, the team members have a United States Cycling Federation (USCF) Category 1, 2, or 3 ranking. ProMotion Cycling has a presence at most major races within 5 hours of Lexington and has been able to hold its own in the results. Some of these results include victories at some of the most well-known and challenging races in the region, including the Carnegie Classic Stage Race, the Highland Rim Classic Stage race, the Ohio/West Virginia State Championships, and the Cabarrus Classic Team Omnium to name a few.

Off Road, Promotion Cycling has riders competing in nationally known endurance mountain bike events such as 24 Hours of Snowshoe, Bridge to Bridge Mountain Bike Race, Leadville 100 Mountain Bike Race, 24 Hours of Moab, and 24 hours of Adrenalin, GA.
